The Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for Commercial Communications Business Partner to join our team in the UK with a global remit.

This position sits within the Commercial Communications group of the Communications & Investor Relations Function.

Key Activities for this role:

  • You will support business objectives with engaging, creative, timely and effective communications solutions that reach, and engage, our key stakeholders.
  • It is responsible for directing and driving internal and external communication in global commercial organisation and the visibility of our Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
  • The role liaises with relevant communication partners in 5 regional/major markets Communications, Therapeutic Area Communications, Corporate Communications and R&D Communications to integrate resources, responsibilities and governance with consistent and shared processes and interaction models to deliver business objectives.

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • Extensive corporate communications or public relations experience with solid media or media management experience.
  • Demonstrate experience in planning and implementing external strategic communications which engages wider stakeholder audiences such as investors, shareholders, customers media and patient with a differentiated company story.
  • Manage the development of communications strategy and materials which will support the company profile and company organised media events such as press conferences/media interviews (materials such as press releases, Q&As, key message documents, press packs, brochures, corporate advertising). Champion of corporate branding/ Ensure suite of materials fit for purpose for affiliates.
  • Ability to support communications and business leadership to execute communications in the event of any form of crisis to minimise negative media coverage, including supporting the Crisis Management process.
  • Strategically plan and execute the executive communications for the CCO to drive strong leadership within the company to build trust amongst employees.
  • Working with Head of Commercial Comms to support CCO and his leadership team to drive strategic alignment, engagement, and foster culture/behaviors to maximise commercial performance.
  • Building relationships with and supporting communicator network to ensure alignment and maximise impact of communications across all 5 regions globally.
  • Awareness and understanding of the ABPI, EFPIA and other relevant codes of practice and how they apply to Communications.
  • Proven ability to be visionary, innovative, creative and experience in new communications trends, with a proven track record in providing confident, persuasive and appropriate communications.
  • Support Head of Commercial Comms on strategic team Operations - including governance, planning and performance monitoring of annual objectives and KPIs

Educations/Qualifications:

  • BS or BA Degree or Equivalent in journalism, communications, or related field.

Additional information:

  • The is a permanent full-time position based in the UK.
  • We offer a hybrid working pattern, requiring travel at least twice a month or as required in the office (Addlestone), blended with a collaborative video environment that supports working from home.
