Roles and Responsibilities

To efficiently and effectively deliver the work priorities within the shotpeen department, undertaking tasks under the direction of the Operations Team Leader or in his absence the Machining and Plating Manager.

Ensuring production throughput schedules are met adhering to the Quantum forward load requirements, working to required Health and Safety standards, whilst maintaining compliance with all industry standard regulations.

• Perform plastic media peening, glass bead peening on a variety of aviation components, working to relevant technicial documentation (component maintenance manuals and standard operation procedures)
• To assist, as required with the monitoring of stock levels for consumables.
• Ensure quality requirements are always met.
• Support with promoting a culture of Continuous Improvement; maintain and improve housekeeping in all areas driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support with effective communication through machining and plating business unit.
• Support with continually improving safety by addressing, raising concerns for both physical safety issues and safety attitudes within the machining and plating business unit

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience of working with hand tools
• Previous experience of grit blasting/media blasting
• Numerate and literate - minimum GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English
