Job Responsibility:
We are looking to recruit Enhanced Practitioner in Eating Disorders for our new Under 18 Eating Disorder Day Service. This would initially be for a fixed period of until November 2025, while this new service is piloted, but there may be an opportunity for a permanent position at the end of this period if the project delivers the anticipated benefits. This unique service will provide intensive therapy for young people under 18 with a diagnosed eating disorder, with the aim of preventing an admission to hospital because of their condition. The service will utilise an innovative combination of attendance at multi-family group therapy sessions with home visits from our Closer2Home team to help put the learning into practice. This post provides an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic individual with excellent clinical skills and an enhanced level of theoretical and practical knowledge about eating disorders to join our team and be part of this ground-breaking pilot. Full time or Part time hours would be considered for this role. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be desirable, although is not essential for this role. To provide high quality person centred care which always considers people's safety, privacy and dignity using enhanced clinical knowledge that is evidence based. To undertake independent assessment and management of service users with an eating disorder making complex clinical decisions regarding service user management and clinical outcomes. To provide enhanced clinical advice, leadership and support ensuring the needs of the service are met by exercising and demonstrating high levels of clinical judgement, critical analysis and advanced decision making skills. To manage change, to monitor and improve standards through supervision, evidence based practice, clinical audit, research and education.
