Job Responsibility:

The Opportunity: Avantor is looking for a Inventory Operative to join our team at Watford on a permanent basis. You will be completing the day-to-day Avantor aligned activities within the vendor management inventory operations at Bio Products Laboratory replenish, and distribute Laboratory consumables, chemicals and PPE, using our Inventory Management software. Whilst working alongside your team colleagues and supporting scientific processes to meet customer business needs. This opportunity is ideal for someone who would like a career switch to a scientific environment and would like to join a business leading company with possibilities of progression, as training will be provided. Working hours: Monday to Friday (8am to 16pm - During training period), (6am to 14pm - potential shift on completion of training) The team You are part of a dedicated team of four associates and able to work closely together, with a phenomenal group atmosphere. This team is part of our department Lab and Production Services, which supports big pharmaceutical companies and laboratories all over the world. What we're looking for

• Education: Minimum of GCSE, (or equivalent) A level
• Experience: Experience of working in lab environment is preferred. Be aware of Good Manufacturing Practice standards (GMP). We are looking for a team member, who will stay with us long-term and has a curiosity about science. Customer Service experience essential.
• Computer: Good in MS Office; knowledge of SAP/E-Lims/other is a plus
• Strong communication skills in English

• Goods receiving, ensuring quality control processes are followed
• Management of (Internal) Inventory Management software
• Processing stock orders for delivery by internal distribution
• On site parcel distribution using company vehicle
• Managing customer requests (within service agreement) promptly and efficiently
• To ensure that suitable written records and work undertaken are kept in accordance with GMP regulations
