Job Responsibility:

This post is open to all Nurses and AHPs that have completed an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice, which includes Non-Medical Prescribing. You must also be able to present a portfolio demonstrating evidence of your ACP clinical competence. You will undergo a period of supervision and assessment to ensure you are embedded correctly into our workforce and to develop their skills/portfolio within OPAT/Infectious Diseases. You will have an allocated OPAT Consultant supervisor that has dedicated time within their job plan. As an OPAT ACP you will work closely alongside both Medical and Nursing teams, all working towards providing high quality research based care to patients admitted acutely. You will provide continuity in the care and treatment for our patient group. The day to day role will include clinic review, clerking and assessing patients clinical needs, ordering investigations and implementing treatments accordingly.
