Position Summary

This is an excellent opportunity as the Finance Intelligence and Analytics Manager, leading a team of experts in data, analytics, and reporting to drive best-in-class business intelligence. You will coordinate various processes, strive for efficiencies, drive standardisation, and continuously evolve reporting and digitalisation to ensure actionable insights for the business to facilitate effective decision making.

A day in the life of…

This is a key role in our finance function, you will be providing the business with financial data and insight necessary to achieve robust and effective decisions. You will work with stakeholders across the business. Whilst overseeing the development and implementation of data analysis methodologies and reporting frameworks to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of data analysis and reporting outputs.

Key responsibilities will also include:

  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that encourages continuous learning and growth.
  • Coordinate various processes related to data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies to streamline operations.
  • Drive standardisation across the team to ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their information needs and provide actionable insights for effective decision making.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in data analytics and reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies and digitalisation to enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Drive the adoption of digital tools and automation to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, such as finance leaders and business units, to understand their strategic objectives and information requirements.
  • Communicate data insights and recommendations in a clear and concise manner to facilitate effective decision making.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for data-driven initiatives.
  • Coach, mentor and develop a team. Providing guidance and experience to help develop their commercial acumen and prepare them for their CIMA/ACA exams.

You will have a track record of identifying and implementing process improvements as well as leading and motivating a dynamic team. You'll be accustomed to working with a range of key stakeholders, across a variety of categories and be confident in challenging and influencing others. You'll be focused on the detail, whilst never losing sight of the wider picture.

You will also have;

    • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and develop a team of experts.
    • Ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve their full potential.
    • Ability to convey complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.
    • Solid understanding of profit and loss statements and financial metrics to provide meaningful insights and analysis.
    • Ability to influence and persuade stakeholders to adopt data-driven insights and recommendations.
    • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of resolving business issues and meeting deadlines.
    • Proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to think critically and analytically.
    • Proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing best practices in data analytics and reporting.
    • Proficiency in working with finance systems and digital tools to analyse and report financial data effectively.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of key finance and business processes to ensure accurate and relevant data analysis and reporting.
    • Previous experience in effectively managing and influencing senior stakeholders within the organisation.
