About this role: Are you a skilled Client Onboarding Facilitator seeking a dynamic and impactful role? Step into a vital position at our evolving global bank, where your expertise will shape the future of onboarding. Wells Fargo Securities is creating a centralized Client Onboarding team consisting of a Client-facing Facilitation team, documentation team, AML/KYC team and a data management team. The team based in London has a new opportunity for an experienced Client Onboarding Facilitator. As the Client Onboarding Facilitator you will liaise with external and internal customers in order to comply with all Operational, Compliance, Regulatory and internal policies as part of the onboarding process. This role is to provide the business with a central point of contact and liaise with On-boarding teams in other regions to provide transparency and efficiency. The target is to have a centralized team with regional representation to support growing business in EMEA and APAC. The primary supporting line with be the Markets team for all products. The COB Facilitator will report locally into London. The Facilitator role will be an SME within the various lines of business we support in London. In this role, you will:
  • Be responsible for delivering high standards of client service while at the same time ensuring that all internal (Risk) and external (Compliance) standards and requirements are met. The Facilitator will gather evidence for onboarding via documentary or non-documentary means utilizing both in-house and external sources. They will initiate the Client Onboarding process for both new Legal Relationships and Funds of existing customers liaising with internal teams such as Documentation, AML and Credit teams. The facilitator will track progress and provide status of onboarding requests to the request initiator.
  • Support our focus on building strong customer relationships, balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture, which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company.
  • You will be accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation, remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions.
  • Provide subject matter expertise across divisions, to deliver timely and accurate issue resolutions to complex, business critical issues which may include communication with senior stakeholders within Ops and the BU.
  • Partner with Daily Processing teams to identify key Operations issues, trends and efficiency opportunities that can be addressed with clients with the goal of enhancing STP.
  • Keep abreast of current and upcoming product and functional specific industry initiative related topics.
  • Reviewing completeness of legal documentation and requirements and approving customers to trade regulated products.
  • The COB Facilitator must understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the product/business supported. Maintain all WF internal control standards, implement new controls and address any internal or external audit points raised. The COB Facilitator should be aware of the Operational Risk scenarios associated with the role and adhere to all policies. The applicant must have an appreciation for, and understanding of, the regulatory implications of FATCA, Dodd Frank, EMIR, MiFIR, OFAC, Patriot Act and Finra regulations.
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in Institutional Investment Operations, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience working within Client Onboarding, preferable as a Facilitator within the Markets LOB
  • Experience understanding legal documents required for onboarding clients.
  • Experience in client integration and management
  • Technical understanding of transaction lifecycle in Markets across all products
  • Experience of financial institutions.
  • Proven experience with external Institutional Client communications and interaction.
  • Relevant experience within Client Onboarding for financial company.
  • Relevant experience within a Compliance, AML/KYC or Operational risk team is preferred.
  • Experience working in a demanding fast- paced financial institution, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • They must have excellent written/verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work across global departments to build credibility and strong relationships.
  • Experience compiling metrics, customer profiles and maintaining SLA's preferred.
  • Strong listening and verbal/written communications
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Involvement in Industry initiatives via working groups, advisory groups or panel discussions.
  • Educated to an A-level or Degree standard.
