We're looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as Barista / Front of House (FOH) / All Rounder staff. The successful candidate will be organised, hard working, conscientious, proactive and enthusiastic individual, eager to provide top-notch service to our customers, and committed to fostering a positive team environment. We are looking for someone who is keen to work more or less 2 days a week and take an important role in the day-to-day running of the bakery. At the start you will work alongside our experienced baristas to get full training.
Estimated working hours (including breaks)
7am-4pm
Essential criteria
- A desire to learn and work hard as an important member of a small team
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25kg
- Previous experience as a barista or in a customer service role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow with our team.
Desirable criteria
- Be familiar with HACCP procedures
- Passion or understanding for vegan food and sustainability.
General duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Operate and maintain coffee machines and other equipment.
- Craft and deliver high-quality beverages.
- Greet customers with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Prepare customers' pre-orders
- Take orders and provide detailed information about our vegan products.
- Assist customers with dietary inquiries and offer recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area.
- Handle transactions accurately using our POS system
- Restock display counter and ensure all products are presented attractively at all times
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
- Assist with occasional events and promotions
- Occasionally assist the Pastry Chefs and Bakers when required and when time allows
