We are currently looking to recruit experienced Kitchens / Bedrooms Installations Technician to support our 25-year product guarantee. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for delivering exceptional service, ensuring our customers receive top-notch care as you enter their homes. Your commitment to adhering to IKEA standards and showing respect for our customers' spaces is paramount. WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:
  • Demonstrated expertise with 5+ years of hands-on experience in field-based kitchen and bedroom assembly/installations within customers' homes.
  • Proficiency in communication, ensuring seamless interactions with customers.
  • Extensive background in customer-facing roles, emphasizing a strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction.
  • Previous experience in driving vans and utilizing tools proficiently at customers' residences.
  • Possession of a clean driving license, ensuring reliability and safety on the road.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING DAY TO DAY:
  • Safely operate a company vehicle/van within a designated geographical region, adhering to scheduled appointments for customer home visits.
  • Efficiently manage the collection of daily stock from the store, ensuring timely transportation and delivery of customers' products, including kitchens and bedrooms. Assemble and install these products at the customer's residence, while responsibly returning waste to the base unit.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing the correct tools safely to meet stringent standards for assembly and installation.
  • Utilize the IKEA system to accurately log and update customer records upon completion of tasks/jobs, ensuring thorough documentation and effective communication.
  • Able to provide on the job training for an apprentice/trainee
