Job Title: Ops Training Specialist III

Business Title: Learning & Development Project Specialist

Position Summary:

The Learning and Development Project Specialist is a key role responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and implementation of learning and development initiatives within our organization. This position requires relevant L&D experience, a strategic and innovative mentality, as well as strong project management skills to ensure the successful execution of various learning projects. The Learning and Development Project Specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams, internal customers, and subject matter experts to design and deliver effective learning solutions that align with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multiple learning and development projects throughout their lifecycle, from initial scoping and planning to execution and evaluation.
  • Develop project plans, set timelines, allocate resources, and monitor progress to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Closely review the follow-up process related to any open risks, issues, actions, and decisions - own the mitigation process in case if critical issues and report these to the leadership for visibility
  • Gathering project information and ensure clear communication of the outcome of the meeting (risks, issues, actions, and decisions)
  • Run weekly and monthly reporting cadence and ad-hoc reports
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including workstream- department heads, managers, and subject matter experts. Collaborate closely with customers to gather input, understand and satisfy business needs, and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Handle all aspects of learning initiatives (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate, Administrate),
  • Communicate Learning and Development initiatives, events and opportunities effectively within GBS SSC
  • Evaluate and select external vendors or consultants as needed. Handle vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure the quality and timely delivery of outsourced learning solutions.
  • Develop and deliver training related to the projects or other L&D initiatives.
  • Acts as an ambassador for corporate learning and development programmes
  • Work with the global Learning & Development Sr. Manager to develop, implement and apply local and regional Learning and Development policies and procedures.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and standard methodologies to ensure continuous improvement of learning and development programs.
  • Stay current with learning technologies and tools. Identify and recommend innovative and cost-effective learning technologies to enhance learning experiences and improve learning outcomes.
  • Support the L&D Team with Training Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Delivery and training Evaluations

Skills Required:

  • Fluency in English (verbal and written)
  • Project management skills and capabilities (planning tools, defining deliverables, business-case and baseline development)
  • Experience in successfully leading project deliverables and working on big projects.
  • Demonstrable ability to work with and influence business leaders to define and implement L&D plans that support long term business objectives.
  • Demonstrate judgment, tact and subtlety in dealing with internal and external customers
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Capable of handling multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills across all levels of the organization
  • Consistent track record of following through on commitments.
  • Good planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to deal with highly sensitive information in line with confidentiality expectations.
  • Good MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook) skills

Experience:

  • 2 years' project management experience
  • 2 years' L&D or training experience
  • Systems implementation is a plus.
  • GBS experience is a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Project Management/Sigma/Kaizen certification desirable
