The School of Medicine & Dentistry wishes to appoint an Administrative Assistant to join the MBBS/MPAS team on the Preston campus. This is a fixed term contract for 12 months due to long-term absence.
The post-holder will provide comprehensive, high quality administrative support to Phase 1 (Years 1 & 2) of the MBBS and MPAS programmes (this could also extend to other courses in the School of Medicine & Dentistry).
The role will involve the coordination of School level activities, eg. Timetabling, Induction, Attendance monitoring, Interviews, Assessment, for Phase 1 of the MBBS and MPAS programmes.
You will have experience of managing a varied and demanding workload and possess a high degree of flexibility and a willingness to adapt to the demands of a busy role.
You will have excellent IT, problem solving, and data handling skills with the ability to liaise and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating a robust knowledge and understanding of the University. Applicants must have a range of GCSEs, including English Language and Maths at Grade C or above, or appropriate equivalent experiential learning; and will ideally have experience of working in an HE/FE environment.
