Role Summary - We are looking for a highly motivated Buying Administration Assistant to support our Buyers and Buying Manager, ideally, someone with retail experience suited to the buying role or a keen interest in pursuing one.
You'll be providing comprehensive administrative support to the Product team ensuring that tasks are undertaken accurately and to company timescales to drive overall performance and strategy.
The role will work in close partnership with the Product Team and collaborate with other key departments such as the Purchasing, Marketing, and Customer Services Teams.
This dynamic position requires the ability to anticipate needs, think critically, and offer solutions to problems with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
The role will take responsibility and ownership of office organisation, project management, deadline compliance, important documents and files as well as sample/swatch management.
Enthusiasm for Furniture and Homeware is required plus a demonstration of a keen commercial eye for product.
The role would also require at least three days in the 3 site locations:
· Aspect House, Crusader Business Park, Warminster, BA12 8BT - Primary site (two days a week)
· Unit 6, Indurent Park Chippenham, Clanville Way, Chippenham, SN15 5BD - Secondary site
(at least one day a week)
· 29 St Augustine's Parade Bristol Office Co Second Floor, Office 2 Bristol BS1 4UL - 3rd site.
Duties and Responsibilities (Include but not limited to)
Key Responsibilities will include: -
- Work and communicate with the Buyers and Buying Manager to build, manage, and deliver new products.
- New product briefs: take trends, data and research to identify new areas of furniture design and sharing with our Product Design Lead and Buyers to explore further for inspiration.
- Critical Path ownership to make sure key dates are met and feedback on delays. Liaise with suppliers, agents and China Office to support Buyers and wider teams.
- Sample Management: create and manage critical paths to ensure swatches, sampling and cartons are met with approval and hit deadlines for multiple teams: -buying/quality/photography/warehouse.
- SKU creation and data maintenance ensuring all information is accurate. Collecting information from suppliers for product data sheets such as SKUs, barcodes, dimensions, weights, materials and finishes.
- Support with new product onboarding: using Trello boards, and Excel Sheets to manage product lifecycle and product development - keeping them up to date with progress and liaising with team members to get progress updates.
- Keeping our product information management (PIM) tool up to date and ensuring our channel teams are made aware of any changes.
- Assist the Buyers and Marketing with online product approval and online platform improvements plus adding to our Furniture Knowledge with creation of New Product Announcements.
- Sales Analysis: utilising a range of product sales data from different sales channels and sources to monitor the performance of new products, identify what's trending and where we should be developing more products and pull together all relevant information for key meetings.

Job-Related Experience: -
Must have:
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, Particularly Excel
- Previous Administration experience in a busy moving environment
Nice to have:
- Previous experience in a retail/buying role.
- Experience using an e-commerce platform.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £23,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
