Job Responsibility:
Bridge View Medical is a Primary care Network with 5 merged practices in South Bristol with c39,000 patients cared for by a team of 150 dedicated Partners and staff.
We are a teaching, training and research practice and are a proud recipient of South Bristol Academy Teaching Practice Award 2021-22 for our outstanding contribution to medical teaching.
We are looking for a pro-active and focused document management Administrator to join our Admin team working under the guidance of our experienced Operations Manager and Lead Administrator, to facilitate effective document management of in-bound correspondence between external organisations (e.g. secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies), patients and members of the primary health care team.
Other duties will include:
- streamlining workflow action process enabling better utilisation of GP time
- ownership of standard tasking and workflow processes
- sort all documents identified for scanning, scan into EMIS and attach to relevant patient record (in accordance with practice guidelines)
- file correspondence, reports, results etc promptly and chronologically into the correct patient record
- file all scanned items which are retained for a period of 6 months prior to shredding
- workflow documents in accordance with protocol
- take on responsibility for standard action tasks e.g. DNA letters
- assist in the creation and adaptation of workflow templates as required
- code all correspondence received as appropriate
- enter clinical information received onto computer records
You understand confidentiality and GDPR guidelines and will have some previous experience using Document Filing Systems, ideally within a Primary Health Care setting.
You will also be required to have great problem solving and communication skills , good attention to detail, good organising skills and be able to work as part of the team in order to deliver excellent results to patients in a timely fashion.
Minimum education qualifications - GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) including Maths and English.

Ideally this is a full time role, however we will consider applications for anything between 30 - 37.5 hours.
