We're looking for a new team member to support us at Coast2Coast Farm Vets. This is an interesting role, where the successful candidate will play a key part in supporting the team whilst managing the initial enquiries into the practice.
The job responsibilities are hugely varied and include organising visits, maintaining stock levels, processing client data and filing all the way to laboratory work, sample handling and the cleaning and sterilisation of kits.
Coast2Coast Vets is a dedicated farm animal veterinary practice, covering ‘coast to coast' from the Lizard to St Austell in the south and between Hayle and Wadebridge in the north. We boast a team of highly capable and experienced farm vets supported by a growing administration team, who all have a real enthusiasm for all aspects of farm animal health. The practice operates from premises at Mitchell on the A30 and our purpose built site in Helston.
This is a permanent position that will require someone to work between 16 and24 hours per week, 8:30am-5pm, Wednesday and Friday +/- Thursday. You will be based from our exciting, new premises in Helston although there may be requirements to assist at a branch surgery on occasion or for an initial training period.
Preferred Start Date: ASAP
Skills Experience & Attributes Required:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Outstanding telephone manner with the ability to build rapport with customers quickly.
- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
- Strong organisational skills, time management and prioritising skills.
- Ability to work well within a team but also independently. Sole working probability is high whilst vets are out on calls and so should be taken into consideration when applying for this role.
- Farming and TB knowledge would be advantageous and preferable.
- RAMA qualification would be desired although training to gain this qualification would be provided to the right candidate.
