Job Responsibility:
Stores & Despatch Operative
- Location: Tarvin, CH3
- Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (3-month contract with opportunity to extend)
- Pay: £12.50 per hour
- Hours: Mon to Fri 09:00 - 17:00 (30 min unpaid break)
We are looking for a diligent Stores & Despatch Operative to join our team at Sci-Lab Analytical. The successful candidate will manage the receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials and products, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Goods Inward:
- Receive, check, and document incoming goods against purchase orders.
- Organize and store items efficiently, maintaining stock accuracy.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding delivery discrepancies or issues.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor stock levels and conduct regular inventory checks.
- Ensure accurate labelling and traceability of items.
- Reorder supplies as needed in coordination with the office team.
- Despatch Operations:
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch to client specifications.
- Arrange deliveries with couriers and ensure secure transport of goods.
- Complete shipping documentation and comply with relevant regulations.
- Health & Safety:
- Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Keep accurate records of all goods received, stored, and dispatched.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with Office and Engineer teams for smooth operations.
- Support other departments to enhance business efficiency.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in a similar role, ideally in a scientific or logistics environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
- Good communication abilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety in a warehouse setting.
- Manual handling skills and ability to lift heavy items.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
