Job Description

Job Title: Beauty & Fitness Manager

Department: Beauty & Fitness

Inspired and Supported by: Front Office Manager

Your purpose will be: To ensure the flawless running of our Beauty & Fitness facilities, including the pool, gym, treatment rooms and relaxation areas. To create a wellness experience which exceeds guest expectations.

You will be accountable for:

  • Managing the spa team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of all spa facilities, including treatment rooms, the swimming pool, sauna, steam room, and gym.

  • Overseeing the upkeep and operation of the hotel's fitness centre, including reporting and escalating maintenance or cleanliness issues where required, and maintaining safety practices.

  • Demonstrating motivation, energy, and attention to detail in all tasks.

  • Ensuring an organized, impeccably clean, and well-presented environment from your team, including the pool areas.

  • Working to ensure our spa offerings are coherent and creative.

  • Understanding and managing your P&L, maximizing revenue opportunities, controlling costs to optimize overall profitability, and implementing quality controls.

  • Exhibiting a capacity for hard work, a natural ability to connect with people, and a passion for providing a high-quality spa experience.

  • Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, addressing guest concerns or complaints promptly, and continuously seeking ways to enhance the spa experience for our guests, implementing improvements accordingly.

  • Recruiting, training, and managing a skilled team of spa professionals, including therapists, receptionists, and support staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for guests and staff.

  • Overseeing stocktaking and stock ordering, liaising with brand representatives to stay updated on spa products.

Qualifications

What you will need to do in this role?

Essential:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of aesthetics (CIDESCO,CIBTAC, NVQ3 or equivalent)

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Aesthetician in a leadership role

  • Previous experience in a luxury environment or day spa

  • Trained with body treatments, facials

  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Highly organised and able to work independently

  • Flexibility to work shifts and weekends

  • Enthusiastic and positive with the ability to build trusting relationships

  • Ability to multi task and problem solve in a fast paced environment

  • Keen eye for detail

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Opera and MS Office.

  • Previous experience in a guest relations leadership role.

  • 3-5 years experience in the Luxury Hospitality Industry.
