The Role:

As our new Senior Account Manager in the Integrated Solutions team (which specialises in secure and maintaining contracts with local authorities and housing associations), you will be the primary point of contact for our clients, taking complete ownership of their relationships with our company. You'll be responsible for engaging with customers at all levels and crafting strategies to meet sales, growth, and profit targets. Additionally, you'll ensure that we fulfil all our contractual commitments and strive to exceed them.

As a Senior Account Manager, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact and help drive our success. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop key relationships with Customer decision makers in order to influence the ongoing development and retention of the contract including the maintenance and delivery of an annual strategy plan.
  • Facilitate and manage any new contract mobilisations and act as the key contact for the Customer..
  • Ensure that the Company meets all of its contractual obligations during the lifetime of the contract, increasing the likelihood of contract extension at the point of re-tender.
  • Complete price review agreements on time and in accordance with any contractual obligations. Work with approved suppliers to maximise contract support where applicable.
  • Identify and secure further sales opportunities with assigned customers and frameworks (this includes additional product ranges, e.g. energy efficiency, electrical, spares, etc and also spend from any approved sub contractors) as well as new customers within the wider market.
  • Develop and implement a strategy of continuous improvement in all areas relating to assigned contracts (e.g. IT integration, administration, service, value engineering etc) ensuring that a record of this is kept for re-tender purposes.
  • Build strong relationships with RD's and other internal stakeholders ensuring that business is always placed through the most appropriate channel.
  • Carry out networking activities including attending exhibitions and seminars, working closely with consultants that can influence decision making.

This is a remote based role with travel to business meetings across the region of London and the South East.

You'll live and breathe our Customer first ethos, with an agile and pro-active approach. You'll enjoy working collaboratively with the wider Sales and Account Manager teams and you'll be committed to acting with integrity and honesty in everything you do.

Skills and competencies

  • Previous experience in Business Development or Account Management.
  • Understanding of how to sell to Housing Associations or Local Authorities.
  • Knowledge of plumbing or building merchants would also be beneficial.
  • A full, clean, driving licence.

It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: Account Development, Account Lead, Account Manager, Builders Merchants, Business Development Executive, Business Development Manager, Client Lead, Client Relationship Manager, Housing Associations, Local Authorities, Plumbing & Heating Merchants, Sales Manager, Senior Account Manager.
