About the role

We are looking for a Risk and Assurance Officer who is able to display initiative and excellent time and task management skills in undertaking a number of key risk and assurance activities as part of our wider Governance and Compliance function.

Working with and reporting to our Risk and Business Continuity Manager you will help ensure the operation of an effective and value-adding Risk and Assurance function, through supporting colleagues on the delivery of:

  • A fit-for-purpose organisational risk management framework, including the capture, recording and assessment of risk, related controls and assurance activities, administration, monitoring and training on our Risk Management System.
  • An effective organisational Business Continuity framework including assisting our teams in the completion and maintenance of business continuity plans, cross-team training and exercises, and other supporting activities.
  • Support to our Insurance Officer on claims handling / insurance and related activities.
  • Co-ordination of the delivery of our outsourced internal audit programme, and securing evidence to demonstrate the closure of actions and improvement in controls
  • Maintaining registers for fraud and whistleblowing cases and assisting on case management where appropriate

About you

You will have a qualification in a related field or a willingness to study towards one.

You will possess an excellent standard of written and verbal communication

You are able to prepare content in support of good quality first draft reports that are required for our leadership groups or committees.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work with colleagues across our operational teams.

You are able to deploy effective time management and task prioritisation to ensure deadlines are met.

You will be trusted to recognise and appropriately manage confidential information

Please note that if you are successful in this role, we will require evidence of the required certificates and qualifications for this role. Without this evidence, you would be unable to commence employment at GreenSquareAccord.
