Job Title: Portering Administration Officer

Schedule: 22.5 hours per week

Pay Grade: AfC band 2 (£22,383 per annum, pro rata)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Portering Administration Officer to join our team on a Permanent basis. This position is well-suited to a good communicator and organised person who is looking to gain experience in a health care setting.

Job Role:

  • Organise, review and maintain staff HR files to audit the contents of the files in relation to sickness, holidays and disciplinary action.
  • Overseeing the input and maintenance of payroll records, from e-roster and manual clock cards, ensuring that submissions are accurately recorded and that any payroll queries or discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Process purchase orders, invoices and delivery notes on the Integra Procurement System.
  • Generally answering telephone queries and resolving where able, supporting the supervisors, assistant manager and manager.
  • To receive and transmit messages to the appropriate staff ensuring accuracy and understanding for the degree of urgency
  • Using Microsoft Office and specialised computer software programmes (ESR, Integra etc).There is a requirement to use a computer, more or less continuously every day. Use of email and internet as required, in accordance with Information Governance.
  • Responsible for maintaining departmental stationery stock, reordering as required.
  • Attend secretarial/administrative team meetings when required.

The Successful Candidate

The ideal candidate will have administrative experience and an understanding of customer service values. This role is subject to Enhanced DBS disclosure.

  • Administrative experience
  • Microsoft Excel experience
  • Ability to manage own workload
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet service needs
  • Good organisational skills
