Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within Enable by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting someone with a learning disability to achieve their goals and outcomes - whatever they may be!

Each person we support has different support needs, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.

Anna loves being outdoors, going for long walks (especially on those rare sunny days in Scotland) and just being as generally active as possible. Anna enjoys swimming and would like her staff to support her. Anna enjoys listening to music, mostly ABBA which is a personal favourite however will listen to anything on the radio!

A typical day for Anna includes going to her outdoor day centre which she loves to attend to allow her to be involved with the community. In her downtime, Anna enjoys completing puzzles and watching movies with her staff. In addition, Anna gets great pleasure from being active and outdoors during the week and weekends visiting local attractions. Anna attends her day centre on weekdays and is supported by her staff to travel. Out with this she receives 24 hour support from ENABLE to allow her to be as independent as possible.
