An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust In Patient Area as a Maternity Care Assistant within maternity services. We have posts available both on delivery suite and the inpatient wards. The Maternity Care Assistant provides support to the Midwifery and medical team via this exciting and varied role. You will be working as part of the team in the Inpatient service but may on occasions be required to provide support to other clinical areas within our maternity unit. These areas provide an opportunity to gain a wide variety of skills and knowledge. The successful applicants should be able to work a variety of day and night shifts patterns across a 7 day service including weekends and all bank holidays. A preference for full time or part time working should be stated on the application form. Walsall Manor Hospital houses the full range of district general hospital services. The £170 million development was completed in 2010 and we are continually upgrading. Construction of the new integrated critical care unit was completed in 2018, extension of a Neonatal Unit and brand new, state of the art Emergency Department is in the process of being completed.
