Job Responsibility:

Aberdeen - Business Development Manager

New Business / Sales Responsibilities

  • Source and convert business leads into trading accounts independently.
  • Track leads and document interactions with prospects using relevant software, including our CRM Database.
  • Engage with potential clients, using active listening to make tailored business recommendations.
  • Prepare and present business documents, such as proposals and presentations.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Apply commercial reasoning during client negotiations to balance client value with account profitability.
  • Attend monthly product presentations and relevant meetings as required.

General Responsibilities

  • Travel domestically or internationally for client activities as needed or requested by the Head of Business Development.
  • Analyse and report market trends and competitor behaviour.
  • Act as a liaison between the Company and Clients during meetings.
  • Attend monthly product presentations, Finance & Administration, and Client Services meetings as required.
  • Ensure all activities align with the Company's Code of Business Conduct.
  • Provide ad hoc reports to the Head of Business Development when requested.

Additional Requirements

  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Team player with a positive attitude towards internal and external dynamics.
  • Deadline-driven and proactive.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with commercial awareness.
  • Attend meetings, functions, and events, including some after-hours and weekend activities.
  • National and international travel may be necessary.

Other

  • You must be based near Aberdeen. Working arrangements are flexible but preference is 1 to 2 days per week in the office (Aberdeen city centre).
  • You need to have, minimum, 2-3 years' BDM experience - please note this is not an entry level position.
