What you'll do

As an Integration Enterprise Architect, you will be defining and maturing Vodafone Integration Architecture Strategy and driving strategic initiatives. You will be engaging with C level stakeholders and will ensure compliance against our standards across Vodafone globally. You will be leading the future integration architecture, technology selection, standards & strategy across digital, IT and products platforms, helping shape Vodafone's technology strategy.

This position is a key member of the Global Strategy & Architecture team: for Digital & IT transformation to be successful in an organization, you need buy-in from different teams and layers across the company, including business and technology executives, architecture, development and operations and you will need to apply your outstanding stakeholder management in order to influence at all levels of the organisation.

Responsibilities include:

• Define and evolve our global integration architecture strategy across Vodafone Group to meet the needs of the business shaping our technology Strategy and beyond
• Drive strategic programs and big bet initiatives across the group by developing and promoting API-first approach
• Shape our API strategy & standards and ensure compliance by carrying out architectural governance including operating model definition
• Key leader and contributor for our global Integration and API Architecture Community of Practice by providing clear guidance and support ensure compliance against our API standards (TMForum Open APIs)
• Maintain and develop Vodafone's Integration architecture including technology selection e.g. IPaaS, event Stream, API Management etc, market roadmap, transition & target architecture and integration tooling.
• Lead and drive Global RFx's for technologies within integration domain working with commercial, business & technical stakeholder across the group leading to global enterprise license agreements for all markets and group functions to consume
• Contribute to leadership to across the group including Digital & IT domain by establishing best practices, design patterns leveraging integration frameworks

Who you are

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

• Create and maintain the Integration and API Architecture and Strategy including roadmaps, transition and target architecture, operating models whilst ensuring compliance by carrying out governance globally.
• Lead engagements with vendors within the integration domain e.g., API management, Event Streaming, leading architectural support for large scale (multi-million euro) Strategic Procurement (RFx) activities working closely with Vodafone Procurement Company
• Create & maintain of Enterprise Architecture Deliverables including Strategy and Reference Architectures coordinating input from diverse stakeholders including Chief Architects, CIOs & heads of within Digital and IT
• Contribute to leadership across the group and the API Guild, a global community of practice featuring c. 100 colleagues from around the world. You will help colleagues from across Vodafone solve their Integration and API challenges by carrying out thought defining the strategic direction and ca
• Produce, Support & Guide the Delivery of Target, Transitional and Target Integration Enterprise and Solution Architectures for business and IT transformation deliveries through the appropriate Architectural Artefacts, Deliverables and Communications, using a practical Minimal Viable Product based approach working with delivery teams.

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

• Expert Technical knowledge is key for this role including Rest APIs e.g. TMForum Open API standard, ESB, API management, event stream among other integration domain technologies
• Capability to articulate and define complex architectures in a simple way to a diverse range of business and technology stakeholders including C-level e.g. CIO, Directors etc underpinned by a structured analytical approach and high-quality Architectural Artefacts and Deliverables.
• Excellent communication (both written and spoken), interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills - able to adjust own style to suit audience and achieve objectives: Influencing at senior levels (Heads of Departments and above) across Vodafone Local Markets, Partners and Affiliates, Suppliers
• Sound overall knowledge and ability to learn of applications, integration, and data architecture methodologies and industry best practices e.g. TOGAF, SAFe®, OpenGroup IT4IT, TMForum Open Digital Architecture, Open API, API technologies
