The Opportunity

Our award-winning Business and Investor Advisory (BIA) team has been recognised as European Technical Advisor of the Year for the last four years and are looking to add to the team through the recruitment of a Senior Consultant. We have teams in both London and Manchester, so are flexible on which location you choose to work from on a hybrid basis. Our Business Investor Advisory team works closely with institutional investors, utilities, government and regulators to advise on investments supporting the sustainable acceleration of the energy transition, and we are seeking a Senior Consultant to enable continued growth of our award-winning Transaction Advisory team. At Arup we are focusing our efforts on the Energy Transition, supporting a wide range of clients in the renewable energy, power transmission and distribution sectors. The focus for this role will be power systems and renewable energy generation.

Is this role right for you?

We are looking for an individual with great leadership, organisational and analytical skills who can take responsibility for delivering complex technical assignments and working with Arup global expertise to deliver the highest quality, value driven transaction advisory services in the energy infrastructure space. Our market leading team advises on transactions across a broad spectrum of energy infrastructure assets harnessing a diverse range of analytical, technical, commercial, economic and business skills and experience into concise and value driven advice for our clients.

As a Senior Consultant in the team you will be responsible both for your own professional development, and the development of others around you to support the continued growth and development of our award winning team. You will be involved in in both business development and managing client relationships, the work of project team members as well as delivering the highest quality work products in a transaction advisory context. You will agree the scope and budget of assignments of parts of projects and assist in delivering these on time and in line with agreed targets. You will have knowledge in some of the areas we operate in and support the team in delivering transaction and strategic advice to our clients.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience of due diligence on energy infrastructure assets.
  • A background in transaction advisory services in the energy infrastructure space.
  • Project management skills, including scope, resources etc.
  • Some travel may be required so a willingness to travel.
