Based remotely anywhere in the UK but can make use of any of our network of office if preferred, we are seeking a Network Specialist to join our Global IT team where you will collaborate with our IT professionals worldwide You will focus on our data centre environment. where you will support, configure, maintain, and upgrade our network devices, including firewalls, load balancers, and switches. You will also monitor network availability and performance and provide timely technical support for incidents, requests, outages, and alerts.

Working with our technical teams and/or vendors, you will optimise the network to meet performance, capacity, and security requirements. You will develop and maintain the documentation and assist in capacity planning, networking devices procurement and support renewal. Due to the global nature of this role there will be an element of “on-call” on a rotational basis.

ABOUT YOU

As an existing Network Specialist, you have a proven experience:

  • Complex global data centre environments.
  • Strong foundation in networking concepts, including layer 4-7 firewalls, IPSec and SSL VPNs, routing, switching, and load balancers
  • Solid understanding of general IT concepts and technologies such as cloud computing, virtualisation, server platforms, and security.

You are solutions focused and passionate about technology. You are a strong communicator who is adept at working autonomously. You are described as You are resourceful and analytical problem solver.
