What you will be doing Position Summary: As MWI Practice Technology's Portfolio Manager for Customer Projects and Professional Services, you will play a pivotal role in leading the delivery of projects for our corporate and independent customers. Working closely with the Practice Technology teams, this role will plan and co-ordinate the successful implementation of products and delivery of customer requirements once onboarded. This will include running implementation programmes at scale for enterprise veterinary organizations. You will be responsible for working with stakeholders and customers to understand their requirements, support the commercial process to provide statements of work and costings and collaborate across the functions to deliver. You will be responsible for managing a team of project managers and working with the wider teams to ensure the right capability is in place for projects. This role is part of the Practice Technology leadership team. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Works across the teams and manages customer projects and portfolio of change
  • Provides portfolio reporting
  • Manages customer expectations and provides plans and updates, particularly the corporate customers
  • Acts as point of escalation for customers and stakeholder when issues arise
  • Leads on customer facing prioritization, planning and progress meetings and show and tells
  • Ensures meeting minutes are recorded and present for all customer project meetings
  • Manages end to end implementation plan
  • Manages onboarding planning and delivery with the wider team
  • Creates and manages statements of work and shapes commercial model for professional services; partnering with finance to drive through to completion
  • Creates and manages budget plans
  • Runs regular department project meeting to discuss progress, remove blockers including risks, assumptions
  • Creates overall Practice Technology plan to track dates and dependencies
  • Provide visual plans and roadmaps to demonstrate how the plan and dependencies deliver the scope
  • Supports Practice Technology leadership with escalation and exec updates
  • Works closely with product managers to product is understood across the group and corporate customers can be brought into beta and go to market
  • Leads project managers as direct reports
  • Works collaboratively with multiple teams and stakeholders across the business
  • Creates a positive project team culture that celebrates wins and drives delivery
  • Drives best practice; identifies and implements improved methods and practices
  • Ensure the agile ceremonies are effective and enable team velocity
  • Manage third parties as required
  • Understand and comply with job relevant Companies Practice Standards at all times.
  • Understand the Companies standard operating procedures and attend training sessions as appropriate.

  • Strong knowledge of project management tools (we use Jira, Confluence and the Microsoft stack);
  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills;
  • Delivery mindset
Desirable Ideally you will have:
  • APM or another suitable qualification;
  • Experience in rolling out software in new countries and territories.
