The Role
As a Customer Advisor, you will be responsible for providing our customers with excellent customer service in a positive and proactive way. This involves completing tasks as assigned by Retail Store manager and Team Managers. This will include stocking shelves, date checking, presentation of product and merchandising, reporting any safe and legal issues and customer complaints.
Key accountabilities
Customer Assistance and Support: Customer Advisors are responsible for providing exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, product recommendations, and resolving any issues or concerns they may have. This includes greeting customers, actively listening to their needs, and ensuring a positive shopping experience from start to finish.
Product Knowledge and Expertise: Customer Advisors must have a deep understanding of the products and services offered by the retail store. They should be knowledgeable about product features, specifications, pricing, and availability to effectively guide customers in their purchasing decisions and address any questions or concerns they may have.
Sales and Revenue Generation: Customer Advisors play a crucial role in driving sales and meeting revenue targets for the retail store. This involves actively engaging with customers to promote products, upselling or cross-selling complementary items, and identifying opportunities to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a customer-centric approach.
Merchandising and Product Presentation: Ensuring that products are displayed attractively and effectively is another key accountability for Customer Advisors. They are responsible for maintaining the visual presentation of merchandise on the shop floor, including restocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring that products are neatly arranged to enhance the overall shopping experience.
Compliance and Operational Procedures: Customer Advisors are accountable for adhering to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines related to safety, security, and regulatory compliance. This includes following proper cash handling procedures, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the store, and participating in training programs to stay updated on company policies and industry regulations.
Essential Criteria
- Must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in a customer service role/ dealing with the public
- Must be a team player
- Have a can do attitude
Desirable Criteria
- Previous retail experience
