As the Property Supply Chain Manager at Sainsbury's, your primary responsibility will be to effectively manage the property supplier relationships to support the successful execution of the capital investment programme while considering factors such as time, cost, and flexibility. You will be responsible for managing the relationship with warehousing, logistics, and other supply chain partners, monitoring the performance of suppliers and contractors, and driving continuous improvement in the equipment supply chain. Strong stakeholder management, problem-solving skills, and the ability to think strategically will be key to your success in this role. You will work closely with property and procurement stakeholders to forecast equipment requirements up to three years in advance, ensuring their availability for project delivery. Your role will involve selecting the most suitable supply chain approach for various work streams, assessing new specifications and suppliers, and optimising supply chain routes. Additionally, you will oversee the Property Supply Centre (PSC), ensuring proper inventory management, order processes with suppliers, compliance to lead times, and exploration of opportunities for equipment refurbishment and recycling.

Who you are

As the Property Supply Chain Manager, you are a highly experienced professional with a proven track record in managing supplier relationships, particularly within a fast-paced and complex delivery environment. With your strong understanding of supply chain principles, you are adept at ensuring the successful execution of the capital investment programme. Your expertise in stakeholder management allows you to effectively engage and influence both internal and external stakeholders at a senior level. You possess excellent communication skills and a strategic mindset, enabling you to make informed decisions, drive performance, and continuously improve processes. Your ability to anticipate and resolve complex problems, coupled with your commercial acumen, contributes to the overall success of the property supply chain and the delivery of projects.
