Role Introduction:

OneAdvanced are looking for a FinOps Architect specialising in Public and Private Cloud to lead cost management and optimization for AWS, Azure, and private cloud environments. This role involves developing financial strategies, ensuring cost-efficiency, and enhancing financial visibility. The candidate should balance technical expertise with strategic planning to drive cloud operation efficiencies.

What You Will Do:

Cloud Financial Strategy:

  • Financial Planning: Develop and implement strategies for cloud budgeting and forecasting.
  • Cost Management: Create frameworks to optimize resource utilization and reduce costs.
  • Financial Modeling: Build models to predict spending and identify savings.

Architecture and Design:

  • Cost Optimization Solutions: Design solutions for cost tracking and resource management.
  • Best Practices: Promote and implement FinOps best practices.
  • Scalability: Ensure financial processes can adapt to business needs.

Governance and Compliance:

  • Policy Development: Establish financial management policies and ensure compliance.
  • Audit and Compliance: Conduct audits and identify improvement areas.

Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Stakeholder Management: Work with engineering, finance, and business teams to align cloud spending.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor FinOps practitioners and promote financial accountability.
  • Training and Development: Educate stakeholders on financial management and best practices.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • KPI Monitoring: Track performance indicators related to cost management.
  • Cost Reporting: Create reports and dashboards for spending visibility.
  • Trend Analysis: Forecast spending and identify financial risks.
What You Will Have:
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in cloud cost management tools, strong analytical and financial modeling skills, and understanding of cloud infrastructure.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze large datasets and generate insights, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills for presenting financial information to various stakeholders.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, manage multiple tasks, and demonstrate strong organizational skills.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, IT, or related fields. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., FinOps Certified Practitioner, AWS, Azure) are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in cloud financial management and cost optimization, with experience in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • FinOps Certified Practitioner or similar certification.
  • Experience with multi-cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of financial management best practices and cost optimization strategies.
