We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced National Key Account Manager OOH (Food Service Wholesale) to join our UK & Ireland team. This is a permanent position that will play a central part in our next stage of UK growth, reporting directly to our UK & Ireland Country Manager. Organisation: UK & Ireland This position UK & Ireland reports to the Country Manager OOH & Retail UK & Ireland Situation “Accelerate Growth in Out of Home” is one of six core strategic focus areas within Paulig. A strategic direction has been set with a common Paulig Strategy for Out of Home and a change process to capture growth has been initiated. Job description Job Title & Position: National Key Account Manager OOH Location: Home based Reporting to: Country Manager OOH & Retails UK & Ireland, Business Area Scandinavia & Central Europe Purpose and key responsibilities
  • Execute the UK OOH commercial plan/strategy for Paulig Pro (Santa Maria) that delivers against business objectives including customer / product mix, share of plate, forecasting, net sales and profitability.
  • Identify and plan differentiated sales strategies which incorporates wholesale RTM and member sales teams - defining how we win with existing and new customers.
    • Developing strong links within accounts, through wholesale sales and telesales teams, attending sales meetings, field accompaniments, telesales focus weeks and trade shows. Educating wholesale sales force and end user customers on our diverse range and product flexibility is key. Identify competitors and evaluate their strategies and positioning.
    • Work within agreed investment levels to ensure sales & margin targets are achieved, making suggestions where necessary to drive profitable performance.
    • Develop customer partnerships through understanding, insight, negotiation, trade terms, joint business planning, and selling at a strategic level.
    • Develop, maintain, and proactively extend a strong network of relationships externally and internally to understand and predict customer opportunities and needs.
    • Work cross functionally with the UK&I departments to maximise customer relationships, increase listings and drive volume growth.
    • Work in a safe way and take on the Health & Safety culture within Paulig.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years' experience in Branded / Private label business either as a high performing sales executive or account manager KAM or in a FMCG company.
  • Extensive knowledge of the OOH market with knowledge of the wholesale route to market.
  • Experience in a similar role with a proven delivery of results.
  • Strategic mind with an ability to structure and prioritize actions.
  • Creative business development
  • Ability to work within a matrix organization and understand structures, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Strong account management skills
  • P&L owner with strong negotiation and customer management skills.
  • Analytical skills with an ability to translate insight into action.
  • Broad customer relationships across both Wholesale
  • Competency in all Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Fluent in English.
  • Full UK driving licence - Whilst the role is remote it will require travel.
  • Understanding of the wholesale marketplace.
  • Operational experience at end user level.
