In a nutshell
As a Fuel Analyst at Virgin Atlantic, you will have the unique opportunity to play a key role in our mission to net zero by 2050. You will be responsible for maintaining an effective and robust front and back office environment, ensuring auditable controls and appropriate documentation are in place to safeguard the company's fuel supply and credit with fuel suppliers. Your exceptional attention to detail and financial expertise will contribute to the flawless operation of our fuel management processes.
Day to day
Verify and approve complex invoices up to $5m and monitor the accuracy of accounting transactions Update fuel prices in the system and report to all relevant areas of the business Verify and approve supplier payments Respond to supplier queries and maintain supplier relationships Analyse and update fuel uplifts Prepare Month End journal and reconciliation Provide financial reporting of costs and spend Calculate US tax liabilities and submit to tax authorities Generate management reports on supplier performance Investigate and resolve aged items and discrepancies Advise suppliers and into plane agents of schedule changes Monitor e-handshake performance and data Monitor fuel restrictions Assist Airports in operational challenges relating to Fuel Supply and sourcing alternative supply Investigate and challenge fuel delays Monitor fuel inventory at storage locations
About you
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with individuals within and outside the organisation Analytical approach and ability to handle multiple sources of data and information Proven evidence of building internal and external relationships Ability to handle multiple priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment High level of computer literacy in Microsoft products (specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and contract and data management systems.
