Join the Close Brothers Credit Risk team where you will lead the Credit Risk Systems team, providing Credit Risk support for the management, maintenance, development, testing and deployment of Credit and proposal orchestration strategies for multiple Powercurve Originations (PCO) decisioning and underwriting platforms across the Close Brothers Group including Motor Finance, Premium Finance and Asset PCH.

Working as part of the Credit Risk team, our ideal team member will have previous experience in building, testing and implementing credit acquisition strategy with excellent communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define, maintain and continually update documentation and processes for the governance and control of credit strategy and change control documentation, together with ongoing strategy and credit systems monitoring framework and systems MI reporting
  • Ownership and continued development of credit strategy development change control and testing governance procedures
  • Manage and prioritise the pipeline of new change requests to credit and orchestration strategies, with the support of the Customer Acquisition Team
  • Scope and specify detailed requirements for changes requested to credit and orchestration strategies
  • Manage a team of risk systems analysts to build and test new and updated credit risk strategies, policy rules, scorecards and cut-offs, and orchestration within the wider PCO underwriting platforms
  • Provide credit support to Operations, IT, Customer Acquisition and Service Management teams & support for incidents impacting PCO and investigation for defect resolution

Developing Our People: as a line manager, you will be responsible for inspiring and motivating your team, as well as developing performance through coaching. You will encourage your team to take responsibility for their own personal development and provide support through regular feedback.

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:

  • You have experience of building, testing and implementing credit acquisition strategy including the coding of strategies, policies, scorecards and cut-offs; underwriting, bureau data and systems, system development and testing
  • You have expertise of Credit Risk Decision Systems including management of change control and governance processes
  • You have a strong analytical mindset to be able to understand and investigate complex issues in a methodical manner
  • You have good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact and communicate
  • You have knowledge of data mining techniques to extract, manipulate and interpret large data sets

IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU:

  • Have hands on expertise of Experian's Powercurve / SDS systems
  • Have experience of Business Objects / SAS / Alteryx / SQL and / or other similar data analytical tools
