About the role

We are looking for a permanent Actuarial Analyst to join our Model Operations Team. This role will have exposure to multiple products provided by JUST. Study support will be provided as part of the role.

You will work in the Model Operations Team which is responsible for producing the actuarial results for the Reporting and Analysis team and other teams around the business, such as Capital Management, from the actuarial model. Working within the wider Actuarial Systems team, you will have the chance to work closely with those developing the models used.

You will be responsible for running the model and extracting and analysing results using Excel and SQL. You will develop a close working relationship with other teams and gain insight into a wide range of work carried out across the business.

There may also be the opportunity to get involved in more complex project work, which will give great exposure across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Being involved with the production and checking of data and assumptions used within our actuarial modelling systems.

  • Helping with the development, running and testing of those actuarial modelling systems.

  • Assisting with the extraction, checking and analysis of actuarial modelling output.

Key Skills

  • Good Analytical and Resolution Skills.

  • Excellent capability with relevant computer packages (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).

  • Good verbal, visual and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner to facilitate decision making.

  • Good interpersonal skills, in order to develop and maintain good working relationships with a range of colleagues in other departments.
