Position: Purchase Ledger Advisor
Starting Salary: £23,000 (Depending on Experience)
In order to ensure the Company remains ‘A Cut above', the Accounts department has to ensure that the supplier relationships are maintained and statements paid on time. The Purchase Ledger Advisor is the main lead in these relationships and is required to support and communicate any issues that may arise.
Your Role:
- Registering, recording, accurately coding and entering all invoices and petty cash claims into the accounting systems in a timely manner
- Answering telephone calls in a professional manner from suppliers and liaising with store managers
- Matching invoices with approved copies of invoices, delivery notes and purchase orders received from store or department managers
- Reconciling supplier statements at end of the month and identify any issues to the Purchase Ledger Manager and Financial Controller
- Obtaining approval for payment of all invoices from CSO and/or store staff to the authorised limits and permission guideline set by Financial Controller.
- Filing unpaid / paid invoices and remittance advices in a tidy and prompt manner
- Maintaining the Purchase Order system
- Open branch mail and distribute to Support Centre departments
- Deposit banking and collect foreign currency from bank when required
- Ensure tidy desk policy when leaving office at end of day with paperwork hidden as this is sensitive detail.
Requirements:
Ideal Candidate:
- 2 years and above experience in similar position
- Detailed oriented
- Effective planning and organising skill
- Ability work with minimal supervision
