NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included. This post is based at New Parkhead Health Centre The shift pattern for this is 1100-1730 Monday to Friday. Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours. We provide services Across New Victoria ACH, WGACH, Stobhill ACH, Stobhill Mental Health (Forensic, Adolescent and Adult/Older Persons) and Community locations across the North and East of Glasgow and East Dunbartonshire. The community locations includes 3 Ambulance Stations, Decontamination Unit, 12 Health Centres and 8 resource centres with approximately 360 staff. This role will undertake the Supervision of staff cleaning patient areas, clinical and non-clinical departments, offices and administration areas to comply with NHS national standards of cleanliness, mop laundering and messenger services within the health care environment. Responsibilities will include for example, allocating staff resources, auditing of services, input payroll information, plan and carry out staff training, liaise with service users and department leads. This is a working supervisor role were carrying out of cleaning tasks is included in the role. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
