9 GP Partner, semi-rural Practice of 12,100 patients in Kelso

An exciting opportunity for a Fixed-Term 1 year GP Maternity Locum starting December 2024

We are looking for a conscientious, open and approachable GP to work 6 sessions per week alongside our enthusiastic and dynamic team whilst our salaried GP is on maternity leave. We want you to be passionate about good patient care as we are.

The Practice would also be open to discuss the possibility of this fixed term position leading to a more permanent salaried GP or GP Partnership appointment after the 1 year option is completed.

We are a progressive Partnership offering the above, to the right doctor, keen to join our team working in the Scottish Borders.

Our Practice team consists of 9 GP Partners, 1 Salaried GP with a fantastic Nursing and Health Care Assistant team (made up of 4 fully trained ANPs, 3 Practice Nurses and 1 HCA. Our Practice team is well supported by Health Board Funded Physio, Pharmacist & Pharmacy Technicians as well as District Nursing, Health Visiting and Treatments room with well integrated CTAC HCA teams on site.

This summer we will begin to teach medical students and we are currently supporting two of our Practice Nurses with their Prescribing.

The area offers a range of outdoor pursuits, affordable housing and excellent schooling and is within easy reach of Edinburgh and Newcastle.
