Customs Logistics Administrator
Espack Eurologistica ltd is looking for a Customs Logistics Administrator to join our team
Salary: Very competitive
Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 7:00am to 3:30pm & Friday: 7:00am to 2:00pm
Holidays: 22 + 8 bank holidays a year
Key Tasks and Responsibilities are defined as:
·Customs Administration:· Liaising with agents, suppliers and customers / consignees
· Preparation and completion of customs clearance instructions for import and export documents, following all customs procedures by properly documenting and controlling all mandatory customs functions.
· Dealing with entry queries - commodity codes, duty rates, and documentation requirements.
· Maintaining compliance with current and evolving legislation, laws, and customs procedures
· Invoicing
· Computerised data entry into multiple bespoke customs software packages
· Using a range of office software, including email, spreadsheets and databases;
· Using in house system
· Maintain & file updated records of suppliers and customers.
· Consistently carries out duties for management.
Internal Auditing and Compliance:· Audit Execution: Conduct regular audits of internal processes and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.· Documentation Review: Review documents, reports, and other records to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies.· Control Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.· Audit Reporting: Prepare detailed audit reports, including findings, recommendations, and action plans.· Corrective Actions: Collaborate with management to implement corrective actions and monitor their progress.· Compliance Monitoring: Stay updated with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in internal auditing.
Key Skills and Competences
· Customs Admin experience
· Keen eye for detail
· Excellent organisation
· Proven experience in customs administration and/or internal auditing.
· Good communication skills
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency in using software, particularly Microsoft Office Suite (Excel & Word), with demonstrable experience in Excel.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
· Effective written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Excellent customer service skills.
· Positive attitude and proactive approach.
· Strong decision-making abilities.
· Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks efficiently and handle confidential information on a regular basis.
· Computer literate with basic IT skills.
· GSCE's in Mathematics or equivalent.
