Help strengthen our Team as our Head of Network Operations. Home based role

Great opportunity for a Head of Network Operations to join our team to be responsible for our Network Services business area, ensuring the business delivers the tools, services, technology, and security protections that will delight Capita's internal and external customers.

You would provide strong leadership and direction to our business area, setting the business area's strategic objectives that will align to the overarching pillar and divisional strategies.

This role is a critical part of Network Services, and you will be responsible for over 150 staff including our 24/7 shift teams in the NOC and support teams managing our £40M cost base for both Capita own networks services and our external clients (LAN & WAN) which includes circa 55,000 devices for monitoring & support.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Providing strong leadership to the Network Services business area, ensuring the business area has a clear and communicated vision, strategy, and objectives
• Using data, statistics and reporting to identify key challenges and drive continuous improvement within Network Services
• Responsible for the management of all Heads of within Network Services, including development, performance management, and succession planning
• Providing input into the wider pillar vision, strategy and objectives
• Developing cost effective (benchmarked where appropriate) delivery models that are aligned to the pillar and divisional strategy, and to industry best practice
• Being fully accountable for the financial performance of the business area, with reporting and presentation at governance
• Running the Network Services in a compliant manner with the Policies articulated by CISO
• Providing appropriate engagement and reporting for all Operational and Security Governance requirements and as well as be actively involved in Audits as required

What we're looking for:

• Experienced in similar role and come from networking background.
• Excellent understanding of Networking technologies (vendor technologies such as CISO, PaloAlto, CheckPoint, covering LAN, WAN, Perimeter, Core and Voice etc)
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Financial and business acumen, understanding and experience of P&L, budgets, etc.
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Knowledge of industry best practices and standards
• Experience in managing large teams and complex projects
• Stays abreast of the external market, emerging trends and advancing technologies, with the ability to adapt and respond to the changing business environment.
• Able to successfully plan, prioritise, and delegate, while managing conflicts and resource contention
• Ability to gain SC clearance.
