Sustainability Director - Risk & Disclosure - FTC
This role will preferably be based at GSK HQ, UK site but can be based at other strategic UK GSK locations on a case-by-case basis.

We are looking for an experienced Sustainability Director - Risk & Disclosure on a minimum 12 month to a maximum 18 month Fixed Term Contract to join the GSK Sustainability team to help us meet our reporting and assurance requirements for environmental disclosures. You will deliver new sustainability reporting processes and risk assessments that will underpin GSK's disclosures on climate and nature for TCFD, TNFD and EU CSRD. You will work closely subject matter experts in sustainability, the ESG reporting hub, supply chain and finance directors. In this role you will:
EU CSRD
- Prepare process documents for collection and controls of qualitative and quantitative environmental data
- Run a pilot trial preparing the environmental disclosures to demonstrate the effectiveness of the new process
- Implement any identified changes to data collection systems that are required to ensure ongoing compliance
- EU Taxonomy - Manage the screening for Substantive Contribution Criteria and Do No Significant Harm criteria for potentially eligible products and the sites of manufacture to enable finance partners to prepare financial statements
UK Climate Disclosures (TCFD)
- Update the annual risk assessments for the impact of physical and transition risks from climate change on GSK
- Analysis of prioritised locations of the potential impacts of climate change on prioritised locations for annual climate disclosures
- Develop insights of the potential impacts of climate change to understand the resilience to climate change of an extended portfolio of supplier locations
Nature Disclosures (TNFD)
- Collaborate with the nature lead to develop GSK's TNFD disclosure in this year's Annual Report
- Prepare process documents for collection and controls of qualitative and quantitative environmental data
- Prepare formal nature risk papers on individual risks to support TNFD / CSRD disclosure
US Climate Disclosures (US SEC Climate Rule)
- Prepare for compliance with the SEC Climate Rule disclosures
- Map the process for reporting extreme weather events, identify and close gaps to ensure compliance against the requirements of the Climate Rule

Why You?Required Qualifications and experience:
- Degree qualified in a Scientific, Engineering, Finance or Sustainability
- Considerable demonstrated experience in a Sustainability, ESG or Climate role.
- Process oriented and active engagement in regulatory document writing and audits.
- Strong ability to manage and influence stakeholder at site and the wider business
- Excellent written skills, with specific experience authoring reports/requests and other related deliverables.
- Excellent communication skills; a pro-active and collaborative team approach, engendering inclusion, support and motivation amongst peers; a desire to go beyond process and procedure, with an ability to think innovatively to enhance program outcomes.
- A strong background to drive positive change in sustainability, with credibility and the ability to influence at senior levels of the organisation without direct line management
Preferred Qualifications and experience:
- Masters or PHD qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Preferably have experience in Pharma/Chemical industry.
- Previous experience of working within a finance role/function.
- Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments and delivery of the GSK GCS strategy without direction.
- Ability to perform within a dynamic and stressful environment and to be able to remain calm under pressure and during conflict.
- Proven capabilities in enabling and driving change, delivering solutions, developing people, and building relationships across multiple interfaces and in a matrix environment
- Ability to interact effectively and appropriately with customers in other functions and beyond, senior management and co-workers.
