We are looking for an Accounting Manager to supervise, track and evaluate day-to-day activities. As our Financial Accounting Manager your responsibilities will include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analysing, verifying and reporting information. We are looking for someone to work closely with our office team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
• Month end and year end process
• Accounts payable/receivable
• Payroll and utilities
• Budgeting
• Cash forecasting
• Revenue and expenditure variance analysis
• Creditors/debtors
• Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
• Xero accounts systems, and linking accounts with EPOS systems
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
• Coordinate and complete annual audits
• Provide recommendations
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
• Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Meet financial accounting objectives
• Be an active part of the wider management team, and contribute to the on-going development plans of this diverse and developing business
• Strong communication and team building skills

Experience with Xero accounting system is essential

Experience within multisite retail / catering and property sectors would be helpful but not essential
