Job Responsibility:

Bolsover District Council is a dynamic and ambitious organisation that takes pride in delivering excellent services to our community whilst driving economic growth and environmental sustainability for the district.

Candidates must have knowledge of Streetscene operations including grounds maintenance, such as cutting grassed areas, sports grounds, planted areas, gardens, churchyards, derelict sites, amenity trees and hedge pruning, together with an understanding of their Health and Safety working arrangements. Knowledge of street cleansing, such as dog/litter bins and fly tipping clearance, would also be beneficial.

To be successful you will need:

  • A current full driving Category B License (preferably with category C1) is required.
  • Good verbal communication skills and experience of team working.
  • Proven practical experience of driving light commercial vehicles and the use of ride-on mowers, hedge cutters, strimmers, spraying equipment, power wash, mechanical sweepers etc.
  • Ability to sustain high levels of physical output over prolonged periods.
  • Experience of working to pre-targeted work schedules and to tight deadlines.
