Location - The Harley Street Clinic, London
Full time, 37.5 hours/ week, Monday to Friday, 0900 - 1700
Permanent
Salary - Up to £31,096 per annum + Benefits (pension, health cover, flexible benefits and excellent career development)
About the Role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Theatre Scheduler to join The Harley Street Clinic. Within this role, you will contribute to the effective and efficient management of the operating theatre by scheduling patient procedures to be performed directly onto Meditech obtaining the essential information from the Consultant's secretary in order to create a one stop booking service. You will be responsible for the understanding of patient scheduling and procedure knowledge and will interact closely with a range of departments which will require excellent communications, public relations and documentation skills

What you'll do:
- Ensures scheduling accuracy and appropriate selection of scheduled procedures to increase theatre utilisation
- Interact and liaise closely with the reservations department who will complete the booking process
- Responsibility to make and implement decisions, meet deadlines and maintain accuracy and quality of information for surgical services team.
- Expected to lead and manage theatre bookings in collaboration with the theatre coordinator which will provide the team to function in a strategic and operational manner.
- Responsible for interacting and coordinating with all the ancillary departments in order to facilitate a smooth process.
- Follows service excellence standards to ensure high levels of customer and patient satisfaction
- Promotes the service to all stakeholders, ensure that available slots are communicated out to all users in a timely manner
- Actively participates in improving operational efficiency, effectiveness and achievement of established goals/performance metrics.
What you'll bring:
- Experience of the clinical operational running of surgical services in a hospital setting, (preferred not essential)
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of medical/clinical terminology
- Capable of using various computer system to include -Microsoft programs such as Outlook and Word, telephone systems and scanners/copiers
- Communicate with various departments to facilitate scheduling
- Understanding of CSSD codes, (preferred not essential)
