As an Asset Management Middle Office Analyst in J.P.Morgan Mansart Management team, you will perform core trade support functions across the range of products traded by the business, including bonds, equities, equity swaps, IRS, CDS and FX). This includes trade capture, trade confirmation and managing the trade lifecycle.

J.P.Morgan Mansart Management is the specialist asset management business focused on bespoke fund solutions with a strong expertise in derivative based solutions for institutional investors, including insurance companies, pension funds, asset managers, private banks, sovereign wealth funds and retail investors.

Job responsibilities

  • Ensures all core reconciliations are performed to a high standard such as cash and security reconciliations vs custodians, EMIR reporting reconciliations, NAV reconciliations, and fee reconciliations
  • Manages proactively settlements to minimize risk and penalty charges
  • Ensures that margin and collateral is risk managed effectively which includes understanding the calculations, managing disputes and being confident using our vendor application (Acadia)
  • Partners closely with portfolio managers to deliver best in class fund launches
  • Has an in-depth understanding of all trading structures from a financial and operational perspective
  • Builds trusting, credible client relationships through responsive, high quality client service which includes responding to daily queries, chairing action driven meetings, and having difficult conversations when necessary

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • The ability to act and communicate with humility, empathy and kindness
  • Proven track record of being a subject matter expert (any product or workflow) in a previous role
  • Proven ability to articulate complex concepts in a simple, digestible way to varied audiences
  • A very disciplined attitude to operational risk management
  • The ability to work with large data sets to pull trends and provide meaningful feedback to the business
  • The ability to bring multiple groups together to solve a problem and hold people accountable for their actions

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Familiarity with fund management, derivatives and trade settlement
  • Ability to independently automate manual processes using digital automation tools such as Alteryx
  • A naturally curious thinker with a hunger to learn and teach others
  • An optimistic approach to problem solving - views problems as opportunities and not roadblocks
