The role holder will work closely with MindTech's senior PPIE manager to provide comprehensive support for the administration and delivery of patient and public involvement and engagement activities across a wide variety of research projects. You will have responsibility for organising and facilitating meetings and workshops and supporting lived experience volunteers to take part in activities. You must have significant experience of working accurately with finance or numerical data, as well as experience of facilitating small groups such as workshops and focus groups. You will have a proven ability to support and build relationships with people with lived experience of mental health difficulties. Experience of patient and public involvement, peer work or equivalent would be desirable.

This role will involve working with people with lived experience of mental health difficulties, including young people, and therefore the post holder will be required to obtain satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), in line with the University's code of research conduct and research ethics.

MindTech is committed to ensuring that the perspectives of those with lived experience are at the heart of everything we do, and we welcome applications from people with personal lived experience of mental health problems.

As a university employee, you will have an excellent choice of benefits and rewards, including access to fitness and health facilities, staff discounts and travel schemes, along with a competitive holiday allowance and a highly attractive pension scheme.

This is a fixed-term position, available until 30/09/2028. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours); however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours. Job share arrangements may be considered.

Requests for secondment from internal candidates may be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.

Informal enquiries may be addressed to Rebecca Woodcock, rebecca.woodcock@nottingham.ac.uk. Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.

It is a condition of this post that satisfactory enhanced disclosure is obtained from the 'Disclosure and Barring Service'.
