Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting kitchen operations, ensuring food preparation is conducted efficiently and in compliance with food safety standards. This position requires excellent time management skills and the ability to assist in various culinary tasks while providing exceptional service to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of food items according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
• Help with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and restocking supplies as needed.
• Support the front-of-house team by upselling menu items and providing excellent customer service.
• Perform basic maths calculations for portioning and inventory tracking.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.

Experience

• Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential.
• Familiarity with culinary techniques and food preparation methods is advantageous.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic understanding of food safety regulations and practices is desirable.
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential qualities for success in this role.

Pay: £8.60-£15.00 per hour
