Assistant Learning Technologist
This is a fixed term appointment for 12 months
Salary from £35,758 to £40,741 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £43,604 pa inclusive of London allowance
The Assistant Learning Technologist post is based in the LSE Eden Centre for Education Enhancement. The LSE Eden Centre brings together educational, digital, and developmental expertise at the School to support the development of academic staff, enable curriculum enrichment and digital innovation. It works with academic and professional services colleagues across the School and in partnership with students to ensure research-rich inclusive education in line with the priorities of the LSE 2030 Strategy and ‘Educate for Global Impact' (EGI).
The Assistant Learning Technologist will provide technical and pedagogical support to academic and professional staff at all levels of the School, in the use of digital technologies to enhance face-to-face, blended or distance learning. They will contribute to the design and delivery of a range of training and development activities including online and onsite workshops and demonstrations as part of the Eden Centre's staff development programme and maintain strong technical knowledge in LSE's suite of digital education platforms.
The Assistant Learning Technologist will need to have:
- An undergraduate qualification in any field or significant experience in a learning technology, or related, role.
- Experience supporting technology users in any organisation.
- Experience with a variety of learning technologies, including VLEs (Moodle desirable).
