Job Title: Payroll Projects Consultant

Location: Salford Quays M50 3SP orKirkstall Forge, Leeds LS5 3BF

Hybrid working

Up to 18-month Fixed Term Contract until 31/03/2026,Full time 37.5 hours

Salary Range: £50,000 - £55,000 plus a 10% management bonus and fixed term benefit allowance

The role

The Pay Services team at Bupa are pioneers of flexible pay, with a forward-thinking approach that drives strategic change, enhancing our employee value proposition. We are a growing business and are wanting to level up how we look after our people and their pay.

In this exciting new role, you will develop the elevation of service delivery to appropriately reflect Bupa's ambitious growth agenda. There is a two-year pipeline of statutory changes in both the UK and ROI. This consultant will ensure that all change initiatives and project activities are controlled and managed in an effective and efficient manner and to deadline.

You'll help us make health happen by

  • To take ownership of assigned change programmes, including progress reporting.
  • Stakeholder partnering - business leads, internal & external - partnering to understand current and future state and thereby design initiatives to support achievement of future state.
  • Co-ordinate efforts with other Continuous Improvement consultants, linking into CI resources in other teams including Pay Services, Reward, Health and Wellbeing, and People Technology.
  • To be risk aware and respond to failures in service

Key Skills needed for this role

  • Awareness and knowledge of HMRC and payroll compliance and back catalogue of implementing projects for payroll Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • Able to be managing projects remotely
  • ‘Be Brave' Curious about new ways of working with an interest / affinity towards technology.
  • Self-management, initiative, and prioritisation skills
  • Problem solver / analytical thinker - diagnose problems, identifying root causes and determine potential resolutions, delivering intuitive solutions for the end user
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal with an ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
