Job Responsibility:

We are looking for a well-organised, proficient and self-motivated company accountant to assist with the accounts management in our busy chocolate manufacturing business.

This is a varied and critical role in the business, with duties ranging from day-to-day ledger entries through to monthly management accounts, as well as some budgeting, costs analysis and production cost variances.

We are a small business, but as a chocolate manufacturer importing ingredients from around the world, our operation is also fairly complex and can be challenging. We are looking for someone that can demonstrate their ability to work quickly and accurately, work to a high standard and engage with complicated financial tasks. In addition, it's essential to be able to communicate effectively with the team and customers.

Key duties

• Purchase ledger
• Bank reconciliations
• Sales ledger
• Staff expenses
• Credit card reconciling
• Foreign exchange
• Monthly management accounts
• Cash flow forecasting
• Credit control

Essentials

• Strong Excel skills
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Financial qualification
• Proven experience in financial accounting and management, ideally in industry
• Ability to work independently

This is a part-time role with the minimum number of days per week being 3.5. If you'd prefer to work full-time then let us know when you apply and we can consider that too.

This is a hybrid role with a minimum of two days in the office in Sawston and any remaining days can be worked from home if desired.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £38,000.00-£43,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 24 - 35 per week
