Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, particularly those with dementia or behavioural challenges.
- Help clients with mobility and daily activities, promoting independence while ensuring safety.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment within the home.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.
Skills
- Experience in social care is highly desirable but not essential, we will train you and support you throughout your journey
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to perform care tasks with compassion and respect for client dignity.
- Competence in meal preparation and understanding of dietary needs.
- Valid driving licence and own transport is required
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and adaptability in various situations.
Training
· We offer training to give you the confidence, knowledge and skills to care for our clients. Fully paid training ranges from basic moving and handling, the Care Certificate, right through to Dementia and End of Life training.
· We have additional opportunities to gain industry recognised qualifications such as Level 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care, and more!
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.50-£15.12 per hour
