Job Responsibility:
We are looking for a International Sales Director to join our MGP team. The International Sales Director for the Distilling Solutions Business Unit is responsible for developing an international sales strategy, driving market share, and evaluating and executing on new business opportunities. Key responsibilities are managing and strengthening relationships with contractors, supplies, and all contacts at key accounts to negotiate and manage the contracts and pricing agreements. This position must be able to provide accurate sales forecasts by staying on top of market trends. This position will work closely with other cross-functional teams to deliver an accurate and customer-focused solution.
What will you do?
Strategic Leadership
- Develop execute a comprehensive international sales strategy to drive increased market share for the Distilling Solutions Business Unit
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in emerging markets and regions with growth potential both in the wholesale and retail sectors.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to inform strategic planning.
- Effective establish and manage contractor relationships by developing and communicating clear deliverables, timelines, and KPIs and aligning them to the Business. Unit's business objectives
Customer Activation and Management
- Build and manage relationships with distributors, agents, and key accounts in global markets.
- Negotiate and manage high-value contracts and pricing agreements with customers and partners.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, reporting, and insights to senior leadership.
Customer Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for major international accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Partner with customers to understand their unique needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to represent the company and build brand awareness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the Marketing, Supply Chain, R&D, Finance, Analytics, and Manufacturing teams to ensure customer needs are met effectively.
- Provide input into product development and innovation based on customer and market feedback.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.
Administration
- Track all market visits and calls in CRM.
- Keep all customer information up to date in CRM.
Trade Shows
- Attend industry trade shows and events.
What do you need to bring to the table?
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
- Experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
- 10+ years of experience in international sales with a focus on distilling or beverage alcohol industries is required.
- Adjacent industries will be considered.
- Proven success managing multi-million dollar accounts.
- Experience in achieving aggressive sales targets.
- Fluent in English; additional language skills are highly desirable.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and drive actionable insights.
- Proficient with CRM software, sales forecasting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel internationally up to 50%.
